Wow, a motorhome has its advantages
We got up at 5:30 and drove out in the motorhome with the girls asleep in the bunk over the cab. We had 450 miles to cover today. We got 110 in before breakfast and it worked out really well – much better than it ever has to leave early in the trailer/suburban. We had two routes to consider and decided to take the longer miles, but interstate route. We took Hwy 9 to I-15 to I-70 to Hwy 191. We considered stopping at Arches Nat’l Park, but decided it would just make us get in too late. As it ended up, we got to our campsite here at McPhee Reservoir at 6:45. I’m a little disappointed in McPhee – it’s pretty unremarkable. Tomorrow morning we drive to Mesa Verde. I think we should consider just camping down there…
