Harry Potter

We woke up in our London apartment, got ourselves mostly packed and walked to our now regular breakfast place where they were out of my favorite porridge!

After breakfast we finished packing and went down and hailed a cab with our 5 bags which we stuffed into the taxi.  Our driver took us 2.5 miles to an Enterprise rent-a-car, where we had a barely large enough 4 door waiting.  We stuffed and stuffed our luggage in and then drove about 30 miles (on the left side of the road) to Warner Bros Studio Tour of the Harry Potter sets.  This was the part of the trip Kelli was most looking forward to.  It didn’t disappoint.  It’s a very large museum basically that is all the sets that were used in the making of the Harry Potter movies.  We spent 5 hours going through it and the attached gift shop which also was amazing.  Kelli and Jessie were especially thrilled.

Next we drove about 3 hours to Bath sometimes narrow one lane roads (and other times on the equivalent of an interstate).  We got to Bath around 6:30, and found ourselves at a house built in 1806.  We had the bottom floor of the home.  It (the bottom floor) was 1800 sq. ft, as were the other three floors.  What a huge place.  It’s run by the owner, who was great and very hospitable.

We unpacked and walked into town for dinner.  We had dinner at “The Boater” which was the first place we found.  It was a small bar that served ok food.  They had a band come in and start playing around 8:00.
